Beginning of the End

Desmond-centric

A quick recap of the Finale starts --------

“Jack, I know you think your saving your people. But you need to stop this, it’s a mistake..” - Ben ,“It was a mistake listening to you..” - Jack, “..this is your last chance Jack, making that call is the beginning of the end..”- Ben, goes to the beach and it shows Sawyer shoot Tom. “Dude, he surrendered..” - Hurley says, “I didn’t believe him..” - Sawyer says, it goes back to Jack, “I’m one of the survivors of Flight 815, can you get a fix on our location?” - Jack says, “Hell ya we can, sit tight...we’ll be right there.”- man says on the Phone, it immediately goes to Desmond, Charlie’s holding up his hand, “NOT PENNY’S BOAT!”, then it just focuses on Desmond’s face, and then it makes that sound, like at the end of a Finale

Flash-Back starts

Desmond is sitting with Penny at, what looks like a mildly fancy coffee shop. Penny looks in a pretty good mood, and Desmond seems to be thinking about something..

“Everything alright, Des?” - Penny asks Desmond looking at him curiously, while Desmond continues to stare at the ground

Desmond turns to Penny - “Yeah. Just this whole bloody thing doesn’t feel right..” - Desmond says with a little bit of anger

“..what are you talking about?” - Penny

“Never mind..” - Desmond says slowly staring at the ground

“Aww, cheer up..I’m sure it’ll get better. C’mon, lets go home. I’m getting tired.” - Penny says

Desmond continues to sit and stare, and Penny gets up and grabs her purse

“Desmond, you coming?” - Penny says in a odd voice

“Right, right.” - Desmond says a couple seconds after, and gets up and puts on his scarf

Back to The Looking Glass

Desmond is sitting at the door, on the other side is Charlie, crying with his hands over his eyes and shaking his sad, in temper and madness, but not really showing it. He gets up and starts banging on the door saying “It didn’t have to be like this..”

Suddenly, Desmond notices water is leaking from every part of the Looking Glass, its starts filling up with water, and dangerous gases start bursting from pipes all over, Desmond jumps into the water, while he’s swimming out, he hears some sort of vehicle from the surface, so he swims faster. He rises from the surface. His boat supposedly vanished somehow. He looks to the East, and he could see a big boat.

“Boat?” , He tries to swimming to it, he remembers Charlie saying “it’s not Penny’s boat”, but he continues anyway. Dramatic music starts. He assumes its rescue. He reaches the boat and you can see people get out of a door on the boat, they’re talking, but you can’t hear them clearly, they look like hobos, and they look mean. The camera suddenly goes to the people on the boat, outside of the door. “So what’s the plan, Minkowski?” - Mark asks

“Our plan is what it was all along, go to the Island..and kill ever last one of them.” - Minkowski explains

“You think there ready?” - Mark adds , “Not a chance...” - Minkowski says

“Hey...over here! The Island is over there, are you the rescue?”- Desmond shouts, while that rescue music starts playing

“You think he’s one of the survivors?” - Christine asks Minkowski

Minkowski looks at Christine, then shouts to Desmond, “Yeah! Grab the rope, we’ll pull you up!..”

“Dave, what do you think your doing?!” - Christine

“It’s all in the plan Christine. Don’t worry, we got them cornered.” - Minkowski explains

Desmond quickly notices a “Widmore Construction Inc.” , sign on top of a door inside the boat, he is about to board, Desmond steps on to the Boat, and one man and a woman come out of a door with handcuffs and they immediately handcuff him, and Desmond is very shocked and looks confused. “What, what are you doing brotha?!” - Desmond asks, sounds shocked

“Don’t worry Desmond..we won’t kill ya, you just need to tell us a little information about your friends..” - Minkowski says, like he accomplished something huge

“Where’s Penny?” - Desmond asks

“What?” - Minkowski says, “..I saw Widmore on the boat, Penny Widmore.. The girl you sent to the Island, Naomi, had a picture of-.” - Desmond gets interrupted, “Naomi?...where is she, is she alive?” - Minkowski asks, “I don’t know brotha, all I know is she’s there..” - Desmond explains

“Then let’s go, no time to waste, we need to get things taken care of..” - Minkowski says, while Desmond looks terrified and looks like he wants to tell them there coming badly

Back to Island

Jack and the rest of the survivors are still at the same place they were on the Finale. There all happy, every person, and they look relieved. Kate comes up to Jack, walking slowly to him, and a calm look on him

“Jack, we should start heading somewhere, it’s getting dark, we’ll sleep there, and be off the Island in the morning.” - Kate says calmly

“Don’t worry, we’ll find out something.” - Jack says while looking like he’s thinking as well

Rousseau comes up to Jack and Kate also and says, “Why don’t we bring them to the caves? Nothing will happen there, its perfectly safe..and they could wait for rescue there..”

Kate looks at Jack, Jack turns around and announces, “Alright, everybody..were heading to the caves. No ones going to get us there, its safe..and in the mean time, we could calm down right before the rescue..”

Ben starts laughing really quietly, but you can still notice it

“Ben, what seems to be the problem?” - Jack says

“Well Jack, you already made a huge mistake..and your about to make another one.”

“Oh yeah, and what mistake em’ I making?” - Jack says, a little frustrated because so much is going on

“We’ll find out soon enough, won’t we?” - Ben says, in exhausted voice

Back to Desmond

“So, what are people, doing on this..mysterious Island, that no one can even see..” - Minkowski says with a cigar in his mouth

“You shouldn’t smoke brotha..I had a cou-.” - Desmond gets interrupted

“Just answer the damn question!” - Minkowski shouts

“They crashed here, on a plane, on September, 14th, 2004! Uh..the plane split into three parts, I was in the hatch. Lots of strange things happen on this Island, you can’t explain it, monsters there, hatches here, it’s non-sense brotha!” - Desmond attempts to explain, looks sad, in an odd way

“What about the castaways, how many of them are there?” - Paula asks

“I don’t know, about fifty or so of us? But, there’s these other people.” - Desmond

“Well let’s get a move on it! We’ll arrive around midnight, they won’t even be expecting us!” - Minkowski says while looking around and a giggle comes out of his mouth, Desmond looks very shocked still. “It’s all my fault..” - Desmond whispers

Flashback Starts

Desmond and Penny are walking home, its pretty dark, and looks chilly. They have coats and hats on, Desmond is looking at the ground and Penny is just looking around likes she’s a little bored.

“Desmond, has something been bothering you? Because for the last couple days, you were acting really strange..” - Penny says like she wants to know the truth

“Penny, it’s....it’s...there’s this boat race, around the world. Like a competition, I wanted to join it, but I was thinking about how you would feel about me being in it.”

“Why didn’t you just ask me..?” - Penny says, you can tell she’s mad

“That’s the thing, I didn’t really want you to know about it. I didn’t know what you would say..”

Penny stands there, Desmond stops too. Penny’s crossing her arms, looking pretty pissed and a little bit confused. “Look, I know why your doing it. Because of my Father..you don’t have to listen to him..” - Penny says holding Desmond’s arms, as the snow is falling.

Back to Island

The survivors are heading to the caves, with Jack, Rousseau and Kate in front. Rousseau is holding Ben, while he is tied in ropes, and his mouth is roped shut, Sun and other people are there too

“Once we get there, it’ll be dark. You think we should get some people to go back for Jin, Sun and Bernard...in case anything happens. They won’t know where we are..” - Kate points out

“I think they’ll be fine until the morning. We’ll be out of here by then..” - Jack

“Oh, really Jack? You think everything will be alright. Well, stuff happens on this Island, and something could happen to Bernard. Before we started walking out her, you told me not to worry. Now, I don’t even know if my husband is going to make it through the night..” - Rose

“I’ll go....” - Kate says, Jack looks at her, “..and look for your husband, Rose.”

“Oh, Thank you sweety. I’m sure Sun will be happy also.” - Rose

“I’ll guess I’ll go too..” - Rousseau says

“Then let’s start moving.” - Kate reminds them, and looks at Jack, Jack whispers to Kate, “Be careful.” then Kate just looks at Jack for a couple seconds

They start walking towards the camp , Rousseau nods her head at Jack, and passes Jack Ben. Jack does the same

Back to Camp

It’s pretty dark, and Jin, Hurley, Bernard, Sawyer, Juliet, and Sayid have made a fire, and there all sitting around it

A incoming transmission unexpectedly comes in, from Hurley’s walkie-talkie. Everybody there looks shocked, all you can hear is static, it’s a deep voice. “Hello? Anybody there?” - Dave asks, not knowing anybody would answer. “Yeah dude, who is this? Is this the rescue?” - Hurley asks, “Hell ya, don’t move..we’ll see yeah soon.” - Dave says

“..well, well..looks like we’re finally getting off “Fantasy Island.” - Sawyer says, Juliet and everyone starts smiling, and the rescue music starts. Hurley starts smiling, and goes up to Sawyer and hugs him, “Woah, woah..watch it tubby.” - Sawyer says while smiling, everyone starts being happy, and hugging

A few moments later, Sayid asks Juliet if he can speak to her, “Juliet..can I speak to you? It’s important.”

“Sure.” - Juliet says, and they start talking away from them

“Do you know anything about this temple? Ben has mentioned it before, and I was wondering if you can bring me to it tomorrow..” - Sayid explains

“Sayid, I don’t know that much about it. You’ll have to talk to Ben if you want to know more. Why would you worry about that? We’ll be out of here tomorrow anyways.” - Juliet, you can tell she’s happy

Sayid looks at Juliet suspiciously, and Juliet starts walking back to the fire. And Sayid stays there.

Back to Desmond

“Wait, your making a mistake! It wasn’t suppose to be like this. You were suppose to save us, come in a helicopter and save us all!” - Desmond

“Well, guess what..that’s not happening, now shut-up!” - Minkowski shouts

Desmond suddenly see’s Charlie, on the end of the boat, trying to balance. “Charlie?” - Desmond says weirdly, “Oh hey Des..” - Charlie says happily, “Wha..whaat? I thought you were dead brotha?” - Desmond says

“Look..Desmond, I know this is weird, but..listen to me, you need to save them, save Claire, for me..save all of them, help them, or else..they’ll all die. Hurry Desmond, you don’t got a lot of time left.” - Charlie explains

“Wait..Charlie! I’m sorry brotha!!” - Desmond shouts

“Who do you think your talking too-.” -Minkowski says, being interrupted by a punch in the face

Desmond runs fast to the edge of the boat and dives in, somehow his handcuffs come off. He’s swimming to the Island really fast, and you can see Mark, Paula and all them ready to get guns and kill him

Flashback Starts

“Rise and shine Des, your big day.” - Penny

“Or your lucky day, after this..I’m going to be able to marry you..” - Desmond says anxiously

Penny smiles calmly, and freezes, then gets up, “Well..I’ll guess I’ll make you breakfast..bacon, eggs and french toast as usual?..”

“You bet..” - Desmond says

“Coming right up..”, Penny walks out of the room, and Desmond stares at floor, smiles then smirks

Back to Caves

Jack is staring at the ground, with his hands over his knees, obviously thinking about something, while most people are already asleep. It’s dark, and there’s a fire by Jack

Jack looks around for a couple seconds, still sitting, and then he notices something..Ben’s gone! He’s missing. Jack looks angry, like Ben out smarted him, and he knows Ben is escaping for a good reason. You can hear scrambling in the bushes. He starts running into the jungle.

Back to Camp

“It’s not Penny’s boat! It’s not her boat! It’s not her boat!” - Desmond screams

They all run to him, and Juliet asks, “Wait....Desmond, calm down.. What are you saying?..”

“There’s a boat coming, to the Island..and it’s not good news. This is the beginning of the end brotha!..” - Desmond says sounding exhausted

“What are you talking about? There coming to save us....wait, where’s Charlie dude...?” - Hurley reminds him

“He died.” - Desmond says sadly, but still exhausted, everyone looks at each other, suprised

“What happen, I thought he pushed the red button, and save us?” -Bernard says curiously

Desmond explains, “He did...but he drowned, he got locked in the room..” Desmond slowly starts sobbing, “..it was all my fault..”

“Don’t worry dude, it’s alright, everybody makes mistakes. He was my friend too, we all feel bad..” - Hurley attempts to cheer Desmond up

“Your right, I’m sorry..” - Desmond says

“So Desmond, what exactly did you see out there?” - Sayid asks slowly and curiously

“They tried to shoot at me a couple times, and a swam back here..I don’t know who they are...but whoever they are, there not here to save us brotha”

Juliet and Sayid look suspicious and curious, Sawyer says, “Whoever the hell they are, we’re taking their boat and getting off this damn island...” - Sawyer comments

“Now wait, everyone has to calm down. We’ll find out who these people are, and hopefully get saved.”- Sayid says

All of the sudden, there’s silence, then there’s a big splash in the ocean and gun shots, they see the boat, and a light shining at them, and you can kinda see the people shooting at them, nothing is close to hitting them though

Juliet’s staring at the ground, thinking about something, she realizes something, suddenly she blurts out, “Wait! We have to go, we have to start moving!” - Juliet seems scared

“What, where? What’s going on?” - Hurley

“Do you know something that we don’t know, Juliet?” - Sawyer says with anger

“Yes Sawyer, I do...that’s why we have to hurry, and get the hell away from here..or were all going to die..” - Juliet says quickly

Desmond has his hands over his head, Bernard looks scared, and Jin looks angry.

“Then tell me, what’s happening, who are they?!” - Sawyer screams at Juliet

“There the bad guys Sawyer.” - Juliet says slowly

Back to Caves

Claire all of the sudden wakes up, and Rose also does unexpectedly.

“Where’s Jack?” - Rose says

“Oh no....there both missing, Ben’s gone too..” - Claire notices

It suddenly goes to Jack, running through the jungle, and shouts, “ Ben! Come out..”, Jack giggles, “You think this is hide n’ seek or something?” Out of nowhere, Locke comes out with a gun in one hand, and a torch in the other, “Locke?!” - Jack says, and shoots Jack, right in the arm.

“I’m sorry Jack, it’s only what the Island demanded..” - Locke says

And Jack falls to the ground, holding his arm as Locke walks away into the jungle, alone

Back to Camp

Jin starts screaming, “Look! Over there!” , then something in Korean no one understood.

They start running, Juliet trips, but she get’s up really fast. You can hear a couple gun shots

“..we need to go warn the Others before it’s too late..”- Sayid shouts

“Dude..we’re all going to die.” - Hurley says while running, he sounds like he’s given up

Desmond looks scared, and has that really terrified face on him. With his hands still on his head, mouth open

Flashback Starts

Desmond is putting his things into Penny’s car.

“You know, Desmond.. I’m going to miss you.” - Penny

“I’m going to miss ya too..Penny.” - Desmond says, and they give each other a quick kiss, and Desmond closes the car trunk

Back to Camp

Juliet, Jin, Hurley, Desmond, Sayid and the rest are running through the jungle, it is dark. Then they stop. They see people moving through the jungle too.

Juliet quietly whispers, “Sawyer, give me your gun.”

Sawyer has that face on him, like he wants trouble, his teeth clenched together. Jin shoots into the jungle, not really knowing where he’s shooting.

It goes to Rousseau and Kate. Rousseau is hiding against a tree, and Kate is kneeling being some branches. Rousseau shoots at them, not knowing it’s Juliet, Sawyer, and all them.

“Come out and show yourself, you cowards..” - Rousseau shouts

“Rousseau?” - Sayid says. Sawyer is about to shoot, and Sayid tells him wait. Sayid walks out towards Kate and Rousseau.

“Sayid?” - Rousseau

“..what are you guys doing? We almost killed you!.... ” - Kate explains

“Yeah, what are you guys doing out here?..” - Rousseau asks, really curiously

“What..everyone be quiet, I hear something..” - Bernard whispers

Jin shouts something in Korean, probably something like, “Everyone look! There here!!”

“There coming...” - Desmond says, Desmond has a face, like he’s telling everybody “This is it..”

A couple gun shots are fired, and Minkowski screams, “Quick! There over here!!”, pretty quietly. You can see about twenty torches all around them, in random places, pretty close by

“Dude..there already here....” - Hurley says slowly

That sound that something big is happening comes on, and everyone looks shocked, especially Juliet, Sawyer looks angry

Shows them standing there, pointing their guns down, looking angry

“It’s over!” - Sawyer says in his very mean voice
